The Frustration continues! Saw Dr. Staley this afternoon. He asked several questions and then said that he wanted to speak to an orthopedist that he works with because he feels that the tumor is somehow attached to or inbedded in (maybe) my sacrum. There are many nerves in and around the sacrum so he wants to speak to the ortho guy about the nerve involvement if he had to remove part of the sacrum to get the entire tumor. He says that this will be a very involved and difficult surgery as they will have to go in front and back. He said that unless he is convinced that he can get the entire tumor without too much damage that he will not put me through this difficult surgery. So, we sit and wait till he and the ortho guy talk and I hear from him. Please pray that the correct decision is made by everyone involved. To tell you that I’m not bummed would be lying. Pat
