No Stint

Pat was rolled out of her room at about 8:00 am for the procedure where they would put a stint in her urethra.  She came back to the room after 11:00 and they had not done the procedure.  There was a blocakge.  They had put a wire up the urethra but it was blocked from pressure on the outside —- possilbly scar tissue pushing on it.  Plan B was to put in a dranage tube directly into her kidney.  The took her out of the room after 2:00 pm and she came back about 5:30pm.  Success.  The doctor expected the kidney would now function and the urethra would open back up over the next two weeks and the tube removed.

Later in the evening her oclologist came by to visit.  He said the “tumor board” had looked at her various scans and test results.  They think things are going to be OK….that her cancer did not come back and the pushing on the urethra is from cancer cells destroied during last months radio frequency ablation.

That’s it for now.  More when Pat gets out…hopefully tomorrow or Thursday.
